Fifty States become a BOOK.

After the success of Fifty States, a publishing house reached out with the idea of turning our podcast into a book. We had to rework the texts, rethink some narratives, and even develop new stories to make them fit a written format. We also collaborated with Playground Paris to shape the book’s visual identity, making key graphic and editorial choices.

This experience not only brought Fifty States to life in a new way but also allowed me to discover the world of publishing.

Promotion.

Once the book was taking shape, we had to think about how to communicate about it on social media. Turning a podcast into a book was already a big step, but making sure people heard about it was just as important. We brainstormed different promotional strategies to generate excitement, from teaser posts to behind-the-scenes content about the writing process. The goal was clear: flood social media with engaging content to spark interest and conversation around the book.

After the release.

The release of the book—and Fifty States as a whole—opened countless doors for me. It gave me access to opportunities I never expected, from being interviewed by major French media outlets to appearing on radio shows to discuss the project. Beyond media exposure, it also led me to teaching opportunities, where I got to share my experience with students. One of the most memorable moments was giving a class in Louisiana, in Baton Rouge, where I had the chance to talk about storytelling, podcasting, and the creative process behind Fifty States.
